In this outing with my friend, Charles Baptist, I discover a four-year-old modest café that, though born in the harsh shadows of the pandemic, has larger aspirations for its work. And a venerable 50-year-old coffee store where the third and fourth generation are busy not just continuing the traditions of the past, but also catering to a newer coffee palate.
