Visiting the incredibly popular 1980's Restaurant in Kalpetta, Wayanad! Housed in a gorgeous 100-year-old traditional Malabar bungalow, this spot truly celebrates authentic Nadan Cuisine and lives up to its nostalgic theme. The atmosphere is bustling, and it’s clearly a major crowd-puller! The undisputed star here is the incredible 18-item Kerala Sadya, which is an absolute steal at just ₹140! Every table was enjoying this massive vegetarian feast. But we didn't stop there! I also sampled some fantastic non-vegetarian specialties, including a delicious prawn fry, the playful chicken kondatam, a pomfret polichathu, and the warming mutton pepper fry. This is truly a must-visit spot on any #GourmetOnTheRoad food tour! What I ate: Vegetarian Sadya Rs. 140 9/10 (10/10 for value.) Avoli Polichathu Rs. 300 8/10 (masala 9/10) Chemeen Fry Rs. 300 10/10 Chicken Kondatam Rs. 230 8/10 Mutton Pepper Fry Rs. 300 7.5/10 (the pepper masala was great, but was let down by the ‘cut’ of the meat, a bit fatty for my liking.)
