Over the last 63 years, Town Canteen, that sits on the edge of IG Road, has emerged as the place to go for the scrumptiously crisp, buttery, benne masala dosae, chased de rigueur with soft, cardamom sugar syrup soaked gulab jamuns, and their special blend filter coffee. Although I tasted these two years ago, I couldn’t miss an encore when we were filming a Gourmet On The Road series in coffee town a few weeks ago. A definite must-try when in Chikkamagaluru.
